Program Overview

DFEO and ELITE GUITAR are launching a new Performing and Touring Music Group for students who have participated in DFEO’s music program for at least one year and who demonstrate exceptional musical ability, dedication, and enthusiasm.

This advanced program will offer ensemble instruction, performance opportunities at school and community events, and future regional touring experiences. The goal is to celebrate exceptional young musicians, expand artistic opportunities, and inspire lifelong engagement with music.


Program Details

Eligibility

  • Open to students in grades 3–8
  • Exceptions may be made for younger/older siblings showing strong skill and interest
  • Students must have participated in the music after-school program for at least one year AND be recommended by their instructor, OR audition/interview.

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Monday: Guitar Ensemble 5th-8th grade
  • Thursday: Ukulele Ensemble 3rd-5th grade
  • 6:00–7:30 PM
  • 8345 Firestone Blvd., Suite 210, Downey, CA 90241

Future Touring Component

Local, national, and international touring opportunities are planned to begin in the 2026–2027 school year or later.

Program Cost & Funding

  • Free through June 2026: Includes all rehearsals and instruments.
  • Future Cost: Estimated $120–$150/month.
  • Program is separate from DFEO’s ACCESS Program and not grant-funded.
  • Donations are welcome and appreciated.
