What is the Access After School Program?
The Access After School Program is a free, high-quality program offered at select Downey Unified School District schools. It provides a safe, supportive environment for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade to learn, grow, and have fun after the regular school day ends.

Students enrolled in TK through 8th grade.
Must attend a DUSD elementary or middle school.
Priority enrollment may be given to certain students based on grant guidelines.

School dismissal - 6pm.
Elementary school pickup windows:
4:55pm-5:10pm
5:50pm-6:00pm
Middle school pickup windows:
4:50pm-5:05pm
5:50pm-6:00pm

Monday - Friday
180 academic school days, including minimum and early release days

Students are allowed a maximum of 27 absences per school year.
Students must attend during the first 5 days of enrollment.
Not following the attendance policy may require re-enrollment.
