The Access After School Program is a free, high-quality program offered at select Downey Unified School District schools. It provides a safe, supportive environment for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade to learn, grow, and have fun after the regular school day ends.

What is the Access After School Program?
The Access After School Program is a free, high-quality program offered at select Downey Unified School District schools. It provides a safe, supportive environment for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade to learn, grow, and have fun after the regular school day ends.
Who Can Join?
- Students enrolled in TK–8
- Must attend a DUSD school with Access Program
- Priority enrollment may apply based on grant guidelines
Program Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- School dismissal – 6:00 PM
- 180 academic school days (including minimum & early release days)
Cost
Free for all enrolled families
Attendance Policy
- Maximum of 27 absences per school year
- Must attend within first 5 days of enrollment
- Failure to comply may require re-enrollment
