Welcome to the Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities (DFEO) program notification sign-up! Here's how you can opt in to receive information about our programs for the 2024-2025 academic year:

How To Sign Up For Program Updates

In partnership with the Downey Unified School District (DUSD), our program notifications sign-up is integrated into their registration process for the regular school year.

Each year, parents of TK-8th grade students attending DUSD Elementary and Middle Schools can sign-up to receive upcoming DFEO Program notifications during online registration on Parent Connection.

Here's how you can opt in to receive information about our 2024-2025 programs:
  1. Log in to (https://parentconnection.dusd.net/).
  2. Click on the Information Update tab.
  3. Click on the Edit button to edit student information (if you have multiple students, it will be necessary to complete all of the following steps for each student).
  4. Answer "Yes" to the question asking if you are interested in before and/or afterschool programs provided by the Downey Foundation for Educational Opportunities (DFEO).
  5. Once the registration is complete, click on Submit to save changes or Return if no changes were made. Complete the process for any additional students.

If you choose "Yes," you are giving the Downey Unified School District permission to share your student's information with the DFEO. In addition, selecting "Yes" will prompt the DFEO to contact you with program information and options. Selecting "Yes" does not guarantee your child a spot in the program.
